I figured I'd give maternity photography a whirl - after all, I had the perfect model to do so. My wonderful wife was more than willing to pose and listen to the direction I gave her which made it very easy on me. Not to mention, she's very photogenic. Over the past eight months she has dealt with a lot changes, emotionally and physically. I can't imagine what it would be like. But she's been a trooper through it all. One month to go and I know she'll do great when the big day arrives. Then I'll have a whole new subject to constantly be shooting!

Phish - Alpine Valley - 06.30.12
In the summer of 1996, after getting shut-out for tickets to Red Rocks, a couple of good buddy's and I made the trek across Wisconsin to Alpine Valley Music Theatre to what would be my first Phish show. 16 years and 65+ shows later, I found myself leaning against the stage of the massive shed with a photo pass pasted to my shirt anticipating the entrance of one of my favorite bands.
Ever since Phish started playing here on that fateful day in '96, immediately I was hooked and I haven't missed a single stop of theirs at Alpine. This venue has been such a special place for me to visit each and every time. The music, the atmosphere and the fantastic friends that gather here from across the country is something I hope to never miss.
Special thanks to ScottyB and Hidden Track for giving me the opportunity to shoot this show. I will never forget this experience and hope to have many more like it.

Roger Waters - The Wall

It is not every day you get to see a member of your favorite band perform your favorite album just 5 feet away from you.
This was my second time around for Roger Waters solo version of Pink Floyd's legendary album, The Wall. The first was 2 years ago. Same venue. Same show. Let's just say that I'd pony up the cash to see this show year after year if I could. It is THAT good. For those of you who have seen it, you know what I'm talking about. For those of you that haven't, lucky for you I took a few photos!
I had to beg and plead to get this photo pass. Jam Magazine had shot this show a month prior and typically they don't cover the same show twice on the same tour. But I was relentless. Finally they caved and put in the request. Four days before the show I received the news that I'd have a photo pass waiting for me. It was truly an amazing experience that I'll never forget. Thanks Jam Magazine for making it possible!

Amsterdam 2011
After an extensive countryside tour of Tuscany, I was looking forward to getting back to familiar ground in Amsterdam. Visiting this city for my fourth time, I thought I knew what to expect. But then again, why should I? Each and every one of my visits to Amsterdam thus far had been completely unique - and this was yet another.
Hands down, this was some of the best weather I've experienced while in Amsterdam. I finally made it to the Heineken brewery tour, finally rented a bike (which I'll never go again without), toured the Anne Frank House, took a midnight boat cruise and indulged in some of the best eats (insert: chocolate croissants) while visiting this gorgeous city with all of its gorgeous people (and by people, I mean tall, blonde females).
One of our most memorable (however a bit foggy…) nights was spent with a local friend we had met when we were in Thailand a few years back. It's amazing that we can meet someone halfway across the world, on a small corner of a Thailand beach, not see them again until we visit their side of the globe in the Netherlands... and yet pick up like no time had passed. We will not forget our night getting the "local" treatment with our great friend, Marco …even though it was a night we won't remember to forget.
